Reasons to Go on an RC Car Forum

The popularity of the World Wide Web spawned areas where individuals can list or join in discussions of whatever topics they wish. These are public message centers. Forums are vast source of information of any topic to inform, discuss, and inquire or anything in particular. In this case, we will take a look on typical remote controlled car forums.

You can see a lot of discussions about modding your favorite models to your content as there are endless sites that will cater to your needs. There will likely be topics which you can actively join or participate in any given time, suggest anything or simply post your own topics and share them all over the world.

The best thing on forums is convenience and a very nice support of the whole community of RC car lovers. You can even trade items to your hearts content. Considering the enormous people that are viewing your views and needs, the response can be as quick as minutes or just a few days, you can even get the information instantaneously as there will be a messaging system on the forum system so you can post your preferred Instant messaging system I.D. let help come directly to your desktop.

Radio controlled cars are categorized as toy or hobby grade. Toy grades are electricity powered while the hobby grade uses either fuel or electricity. Whatever your grades are, they are also supported in the forum to which u post your questions for the masses to find the best suitable answer. Mostly many people will likely have a clash of ideas resulting in debates and discussions ranging from shorts to numerous pages of information.

Let me review some of the most used topic headers or discussions in a typical forum for remote controlled cars. There will likely be a polling station which you can vote for anything that is related or usually not related to RC cars. Another one is more likely about the Electric types, On and Off-road types as well as Nitro boosted vehicles section. There will be also a part where you can post paint and detailing of your vehicle and the sorts. The threads will have the support for micro, mini cars, monster trucks.

What better reason to go to the forums is to see the ongoing projects of people that will inspire and motivate you in making your very own kits and parts upgrade. From there you can also see the best records, stats to date and the stories that come along with them.

Likely, there will be a tuning section of your desired models. Extensive help can be no problem as they are the culmination of mostly the best in the essence of the topic itself. There will be posts that will monitor the stats of every vehicle for comparison and reference purposes.

Whatever your RC car forum needs, there will likely be a nice junction of help and information as well as friends on the forums that you chose. The virtual niche can always have vast quality information, feel free to try one forum yourself, it wont hurt to see your opinions posted all over the world and share some ideas which can help the overall community of enthusiasts. There is always a nice feeling of belonging when people share ideas and get the best out of your set of wheels. Enjoy!

Stratosphere Las Vegas

              History

It has been suggested that Vegas World be merged into this article or section. (Discuss)

In the early 1990s, The Stratosphere was conceived by Bob Stupak to replace his Vegas World casino. At the conception of the project, one of the planned rides was to be a giant ape that would carry riders up and down one of the tower’s columns. The original plans envisioned the Stratosphere exceeding the height of the CN Tower (1,815 ft (553 m)), making it the world’s tallest freestanding structure at that time. However, due to possible interfence with nearby McCarran International Airport, and any possible flights that come through Las Vegas, the Tower’s proposed height shrank multiple times until its current height of 1,149 ft (350 m).

On August 29, 1993, the Tower caught fire while still under construction. No one was injured, but the fire forced repairs and rebuilding that led to numerous delays in the construction of the Tower.

In 1995, Grand Casinos was brought on as an equity partner for the still privately funded project under construction. While construction was still progressing, the Stratosphere Corporation was formed as a public company with shares being offered to the public.

The Stratosphere opened on April 30, 1996. Shortly after opening, the Stratosphere Corporation was forced to file bankruptcy. This caused construction on the second tower to stop, with only a few stories partially built, and it allowed Carl Icahn to gain control through one of his companies by buying a majority of the outstanding bonds.

A major addition was completed in June 2001 for billion that included finishing the 1000-room second hotel tower.

In the early 2000s, the company attempted to get approval for a roller coaster that would run from several hundred feet up the tower and, in the last proposal, across Las Vegas Boulevard. Part of that last proposal included an entry monument on the ride over Las Vegas Boulevard welcoming people to the City of Las Vegas. The Las Vegas City Council did not approve the project due to objections from the neighbors over possible noise from the enclosed cars on the proposed ride.

Restaurants

Dining options include Top of the World, a revolving restaurant; Fellini Italian Ristorante; a buffet featuring a one price/eat-all-day option; Roxy, a 50-themed diner with singing servers; and Lucky Cafe, a coffee shop and full menu restaurant reminiscent of Vegas in its “Rat pack” heyday.

Attractions

View from the top

The top of the tower has two observation decks, a restaurant known as “Top of the World” (revolving restaurant), and three thrill rides:

Big Shot at 1,081 ft (329 m) is the highest thrill ride in the world

Insanity, opened in 2005, at 900 ft (270 m) is the second highest thrill ride in the world; it dangles riders over the edge of the tower and then spins in a circular pattern at approximately forty miles per hour

X-Scream at 866 ft (264 m) is the third highest thrill ride in the world

Previous attractions

The High Roller at 909 ft (277 m) was the second highest ride in the world and the highest roller coaster. It was closed on December 30, 2005 and dismantled to make space for a new attraction.

Future attractions

In January 2010, American Casino & Entertainment Properties announced a new thrill ride for the top of the tower: SkyJump, a Bungee jumping-like ride that will allow riders to plummet 855 feet attached to a bungee cord type apparatus. SkyJump is scheduled to open in April 2010.

Gaming

Some of the casino games include slot machines, video poker and European roulette. The Stratosphere has inherited some unusual variations on casino games from its Vegas World predecessor, such as “crapless craps”. The 80,000-square-foot casino includes approximately 50 table games, 1,500 slot and video poker machines, a poker room, and a race and sports book.

Controversies

In two separate incidents in 2005, riders were left dangling several hundred feet above the Las Vegas Strip for nearly an hour and a half when one of the thrill rides shut down. The ride didn’t malfunction, but was programmed to cease operation if a fault or problem is detected by the ride’s control system. Compensation was offered to the stranded riders.

Since its opening in 1996, five people have jumped to their deaths from the top of the tower.

Used Car Dealership Options With the Chevrolet Cavalier

As the used Cavalier model is so versatile, it is one of the most popular cars found on the countries roads today. The Cavalier offers improved management and a smoother ride with many great features. All models come with GM’s Ecotec engine of 2.2L, which offers responsive operation, excellent fuel economy and cleaner emissions, things that many potential used vehicle buyers are actively looking for in today’s market.

The Cavalier handles winding roads very well with little inclination of the body in the corners. It also run’s well on the rough roads with the suspension dealing more than adequately with any vibration from the road. The revised chassis makes a used Cavalier feel more positive than the very early models, and there is good response from the four-cylinder engine available on nearly all used versions of the Cavalier currently available at pre-owned auto dealerships.

You will find that both Coupes and Sedans are available; the coupes seem more sports orientated while the sedans offer the advantage of four doors and slightly more rear headroom. Cavalier LS model includes power windows, power mirrors, remote Keyless entry, and many other convenience options that we now take for granted on used vehicles in this class. The sport of LS models come with the sport suspension and special adjustments to the chassis as well as an XM radio and OnStar satellite are available.

XM Satellite Radio is a nice option because there is no need to change stations to find your favorite music when travelling (many stations are commercial-free). The 24 channels of news of the hour are available along with sports programming and hundreds of other stations, unfortunately the system requires a subscription, but it is a great option to consider when buying a quality used vehicle.

The Cavalier is an attractive used car with flowing lines, rounded fenders and a low-attitude. The A-pillars are relatively thin and C-pillars enhance visibility of the driver and contribute to the light, airy feeling of the upper body. The sporty side of the LS models stand out with door handles and mirrors of the same color as the body.

The 2.2L Ecotec engine is used for all models in the used Cavalier range with a manual transmission with five-speeds is popular with, the sportier coupe version but both models are available with a four-speed automatic.

The Ecotec engine offers top dual camshafts with four valves per cylinder, the arrangement favored today for good response from the throttle. Much of this response is a result of the effort to propel the used Cavalier with a genuine force that easily propels this car away from intersections and up hills with little effort.

Used Cavalier coupes and sedan’s come standard with air conditioning and a stereo AM / FM radio, as well as 14-inch wheels and drum brakes. The sedan’s and LS Coupe and LS have body hugging cloth bucket sport seats, power windows, mirrors and locks, remote Keyless entry, cruise control, a stereo CD of higher quality, brakes on all four wheels have ABS, 15-inch wheels, body-colored caps and molded side, and other characteristics are available on many used coupe models at used auto dealerships.

Driving Radio-Controlled (RC) Cars

One of the most exciting hobbies are RC (radio controlled) toys. Probably the most poplar RC toy is the RC car. They seem to be more popular because they can be operated in more areas than RC aircraft, or boats. Aircraft requires a designated area with a lot of space and naturally boats require a body of water; whereas, cars can be operated in the yard, on the street (if there is no traffic), in the driveway, or on a specially built track. RC cars are loads of fun, and are relatively inexpensive for their amazing quality.

There are some other reasons for choosing the RC car hobby:

They can be driven as off road vehicles, street vehicles, or racing vehicles. If you like racing and being competitive they are the ultimate fun machine! Many places that offer tracks to race on have very good racing programs to offer fair and competitive racing. You can have just as much fun as a beginner and you can as an expert. Every time you drive an RC car you have a new driving experience. Many hobbyist have several models. If there is some part of the car that gets broke parts suppliers are plentiful. Kids learn the basics of science and technology from understanding how these cars work.

There are a few things to consider when purchasing an RC car:

You need to consider what type of driving you are most interested in, and purchase a vehicle that will meet your interests. Both engines, electric or fuel, offer different power ranges. Some electric powered cars can literally pop wheelies, even though the fuel powered cars are considered the most powerful. You will need to consider what kind of tires you want to run on the vehicle. If you are racing or off-roading you may prefer a thick, grippy tire. As you become more skilled and adaptable to the hobby you may want to consider upgrades to your car. Upgrades can make your car handle differently or more powerful. You will need to consider the age of the person that will be operating the car. RC cars are designed for children of all age groups. Toy grade are designed more for kids and cost less. Hobby-grade are more durable and expensive and are designed for more experienced and adult enthusiasts.

The great thing about the hobby of driving RC cars is that it applys to all ages. From children, to teenagers, to adults this is a hobby fit for all.

Have fun with your RC car !!

The Exceed-RC is reinventing the buggies to a whole new level, a compact much smaller version of the popular 1/10Th scale Forza. The New Exceed-RC 1/16Th Scale BLUR Nitro Gas Buggy is the newest sport model full scale dirt off-road buggy. The Blur is build with aluminum tower and aluminum capped oil filled coil over shocks for optimal baja racing or everyday thrashing. Powering this mini monster is an oversized .07 CXP engine with a wide band transmission, propelling this BLUR buggy to speeds over 45mph. The Excced-RC BLUR is one of a kind and with the mini scale always fascinates hobby operators these days.
